Air Guilin is a fairly recent Chinese airline, formed by a joint venture between HNA Group and the Guilin Municipal Government. It began its operations in June 2016 with a flight between Guilin and Zhengzhou. Air Guilin is based at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport in Guangxi. Air Guilin was founded in 2013 as Guangxi Airlines. This was later renamed Guilin Airlines in 2014 before being renamed to Air Guilin in late 2015. Air Guilin uses Airbus A319 aircraft for its fleet. The airline flies to 13 destinations in China such as Anhui, Guangdong, Hebei and Jiangsu.


Chengdu Airlines is a subsidiary of Sichuan Airlines and based at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. It was founded in 2004 as United Eagle Airlines by a former executive of China Northwest Airlines. In 2009, Sichuan Airlines invested 30 million USD in this airline. Later that year, these shares were sold to Comac, a Chinese aircraft manufacturer, and to Chengdu Communications Investment Group. United Eagle Airlines was renamed to Chengdu Airlines in January 2010. The Chengdu Airlines fleet consists of the Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Comac ARJ21. This airline has 27 destinations within China such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai.
