Beijing Capital Airlines (abbreviation as BCA) was established on November 16th, 1998, known as Deer Airlines, and changed to its current name on 2nd April 2010, one month later; BCA launched its first service route. The establishment of Beijing Capital Airlines Co., Ltd, abbreviated as “Capital Airlines” with JD for IATA designator, is jointly approved by Civil Aviation Administration of China and Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce. Capital Airlines is co-invested by HNA Group and Beijing Tourism Group. Beijing Capital International Airport is its main base.
Tianjin Airlines Company Limited, based in Tianjin, which is 30 minutes by high-speed rail from Beijing, was established in June 2009. As an aviation enterprise co-established by Tianjin government and HNA Group, Tianjin Airlines owns a young and deluxe fleet. The total number of airplanes is 92, mainly consisting of A330, A320, ERJ190 and ERJ145. The airline continues to expand international long-haul services in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. In 2016, Tianjin Airlines launched long-haul services to London-Gatwick in the UK and Moscow-Sheremetyevo in Russia. Services to Auckland in New Zealand begin from December 2016. Operations from its home city to Paris will begin in 2017. With excellent operating quality and outstanding service quality, Tianjin Airlines was awarded ‘Best Regional Airlines of the Year’ by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) in 2009, ‘Best Domestic Regional Airlines of China’ and ‘World 4-star Airlines’ by SKYTRAX in 2011. Tianjin Airlines has become the youngest 4-star airlines in global civil aviation industry.
